Rhythmic gymnastics is a sport combining elements of ballet, dance, and acrobatic skills. Gymnasts perform body difficulties as well as handling one of five different apparatus: rope, hoop, ball, clubs, and ribbon. They are judged on their execution, artistry, and difficulty. Rhythmic gymnastics first became an Olympic sport for individuals in 1984, then for groups in 1996.
This unique and beautiful sport showcases flexibility, agility, balance, artistry, and hand-eye coordination. It teaches girls the lifelong skills of discipline, perseverance and creativity, as well as gaining lifelong friendships with their team.
Pacific Stars Rhythmic Academy was founded in August 2022 by head coach and owner Svitlana Prokopova. Located in San Diego, California, we are dedicated to fostering excellence in rhythmic gymnastics by providing an environment where athletes can reach their fullest potential.
